--------------------------------------------

This is my eleventh year of teaching French at Heritage High School!  Education is my second career.  For eight years prior to teaching, I lived in Marseille, France working as an international event planner for an American company.

How did an American from southern California end up living in France?  I took French in high school!

After college, I worked for a company in San Diego with over 1000 employees. They needed help in their European headquarters, located in the south of France. I was the only person in the entire company who had familiarity with the French language, so I was selected to move to France and accompany the vice president.  My time in France with this company lasted eight years.

Life lesson: Have aspirations to live, work, or travel in Europe and/or Africa?   Take French and join our amazing community! :)
