Education has been a passion of mine! I started teaching in 1994 as a CTE Retail/Fashion Merchandising instructor. I taught for 12 years and then became a high school counselor. Heritage High School became my home in the fall of 2011. Student success is what drives me. I want all students to have opportunities to build on their talents and goals. Every student has gifts and my job is to help them recognize and capitalize on what they have to offer.
I am the Counselor for students with the last names that start with F-L and in the 10th - 12th grade. I look forward to helping my students with their academic, college, career, and social emotional needs.
A little bit of my history, I was born and raised in Riverside California. I graduated from John W North High School and went to California State University San Bernardino. I loved working in the fashion retail industry until I became a teacher. I completed my Masters Degree in Education at Azusa Pacific University and haven’t looked back. I also have taught courses for the University of California, Riverside Extension Office. I enjoy teaching and mentoring future counselors.
