2022 Summer Lunch Program

Hi Patriot Families!

I am Charlitha Dotson. This is my 5th year teaching in PUHSD as an Education Specialist (SPED). Currently, I teach Basic Physical Science and Study Skills. Teaching is my passion and a spiritual gift from God, and I’ve been doing it for 19 years! I love teaching, learning, and having fun in the classroom! I am stern but FAIR! And, I have a heart for my students and their futures as productive citizens.

Every scholar has the potential to be a success in life! Scholars of today are the teachers, cosmetologists, lawyers, farmers, etc—productive citizens of the future.  Science benefits each of us in many facets of our life, and physical science will provide scholars with real-world working knowledge of scientific principles that help us navigate jobs and careers in the workforce.

Background

I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, but I have resided in California since 2003. I am married to Gregg of 14 years, and I have a 13-year-old son, John.

Education

I earned a bachelorette from The University of New Orleans, a Master of Education, multiple subject credential, an English supplemental credential from National University, and a reading certificate and special education credential from California Baptist University.
